September 8 General meeting, competition. Special subject: Windows & doors. Meeting will be back to usual day, Wednesday, at Bainbridge Commons, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
September 13 Club Board meeting at the Commons. All members welcome.
September 16 DISG meeting: Regular meeting cancelled. Next meeting will be in October.
October 13 General meeting, education. Photography 101 by Hal Muhrlein. Hal will cover how you can improve your images by understanding basics of photography: f-stops, shutter speed, depth of field, sensor/film sensitivity, histograms, and their interrelations. There are no prerequisites -- these things are basic.
October 18 Club Board meeting at the Commons. All members welcome.

August 7 to ? Education: Ansel Adams, A Portrait of Manzanar” opened Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum, 215 Ericksen Ave. World-famous photographer Ansel Adams gives a photographic documentary of the Japanese incarcerated at the Manzanar Relocation Center during World War ll. More info.
Sept 24-26 Photo opp: Northwest Council of Camera Clubs Mt. Baker weekend. Two nights lodging and five meals at the Firs Chalet, in the heart of outstanding photo opps, timed for good fall color. Fee $100 for all that. More info.
October 2 Education: Alternative Photographic Techniques. A workshop by Amy Melious. "This one day intensive class is geared toward photographers are curious about the world of alternative techniques. It will open the door for you to be able to create images that enhance your unique vision. This class is years of trial and err and tinkering distilled into one concentrated, information packed day." October 17 Education: Abbotsford Photo Arts Club Photographic Seminar. You'll need to drive up to Abbotsford BC for it, but it's invariably a great day (or two if you want to stay around). Norm Wooldridge and David Warren have attended the past two and recommend it highly. More info.
